Ulaanbaatar has been continuously searching for more efficient funding instruments. With the recent enactment of the revised law on the legal status of Ulaanbaatar City in 2021, the city now has the opportunity to issue bonds in the capital market. For example, funds from these bonds are being invested in a power plant for improving energy efficiency and managing operations.
